“I want to offer people a non-weight focused approach to food and nutrition.
I was introduced to this approach during my degree course and regularly attend training within this specialist area. I passionately believe the current cultural narrative around health and body weight promotes behaviours that can lead to poorer self-care, overall health and general wellbeing over time. Mounting evidence corroborates how dieting and the pursuit of weightloss can be damaging to our physical and psychological health. Alternatives such as cultivating a healthful relationship with food, our bodies and participating in enjoyable movement have been shown to elicit improvements to overall wellbeing in the long term, independent of an individual’s weight status.
This gentle and compassionate approach can be applied to every body whatever their health or wellness goals may be.”
